Don’t Hold Back.

Hello! My name is Stephanie and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist in Seattle, Washington. Seattle Queer Therapy was born out of a desire to support individuals who fall outside of the dominant norms for gender, sexuality and relationships. This work has been a passion of mine for over 10 years. I look forward to bringing that passion to you and our work together.

Ways I Support Folks

My approach is inclusive, person centered and trauma informed. I tailor proven and effective methods to your needs to create a safe (and sometimes fun) therapeutic experience.

Individual Therapy

Difficult transition in your life? Stress from home or work life? Challenging relationships? Struggling with or exploring gender? Need a therapist who understands your queer experience? I will help you set achievable goals and offer skills to help you move towards joy.

Family Therapy

Whether you are a struggling young person, challenged parent, or a hurting family, I use a systemic approach to understand what’s not working and teach skills to bring wellness back to your system.

Relationship Therapy

I know how important your relationships are, and I also understand how painful and challenging they can be when there is conflict, hurt, change, or dissatisfaction. I look forward to supporting you in creating the relationship(s) you desire.

Gender Affirmation Letters

You deserve to live authentically, however that may look for you. I can help you find clarity, navigate challenges in your journey, and gain access to the medical services you desire.

Clinical Supervision

As a Washington State Approved Supervisor, I offer critically conscience, inclusive and non-judgmental space for you to grow, learn and help the clients that you want to serve.

Consultation/Trainings

If you are looking to expand you or your knowledge of queer issues or need additional support working with a queer client, I offer trainings and consultations to help meet you and your clients needs.

TELEHEALTH

At this time, I currently only work with folks via telehealth. Statistics have proven, over the pandemic especially, that many folks find virtual therapy to be just as effective, and often more convenient than in person therapy. How does it work—through Simple Practice, my electronic health record and which also provides HIPPA secure video sessions. You’ll get a video link via email or text to join sessions at any place that feels safe and secure for you. Another benefit of telehealth, is that Seattle Queer Therapy extends across the state of Washington, from larger cities like Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia and Spokane, to outskirts like Bellingham, Walla Walla, Vancouver and Yakima. As a queer person, it can be especially hard to find a queer therapist in smaller cities. Telehealth allows for that access as well as easier access for folks with mobility challenges.
